A competitive race and many in with solid chances. The Draw should never be an excuse here, they start 7 furlong races in a chute and there can be a tendency for some to set off too quickly to try to grab a prominent position but a waiting brief on a long striding horse coming down the middle with a sling-shot over the top can be a great tactic. It's a flat fast track but stamina in the closing stages a handy asset.

 

A few I think would be very big dangers here but for the fact they may just need the run.

 

I'll be very keen to follow Highland Princess; Soar Above and Star Shield next time out and whilst all have chances today on 2020 form, I'll take it on the chin if they are ready first time out as past form suggests they'll need this but also ones to closely follow in the coming months.

 

Get Knotted is on a nice mark and could repeat the runs of the like of Kyren yesterday, proven Course form being the key. Boardman won nicely on heavy last week but that was a bit out of the blue and at the price I want to take him on.

 

We touched on the chances of SHAWAAMEKH at Chester last time and a good positive run in to 4th bodes well. Drawn 10 and with Course and Distance winning form here really no reason it wont be in the first 4 home again and solid place money materail.

 

The same clearly applies to MUNTADAB who looks like one of those early season types that you have to catch early as form tends to fade. That results in a higher mark the horse then sheds as the season goes on. Off what looks a very appealing 78 here and drawn in stall 7 and with well being already evidenced today may be the day for an overdue win.

 

The one who really caught my eye is much less exposed and a bigger price and thats Faheys horse SILVER DUST. The booking og Hanaghan merely adds to my confidence and the horse is fit from Class 3 and 4 All Weather runs over  amile, and could be lurking on a nice turf mark of 79 and an all out gallop to the line here may be ideal for the horse coming strong and late down the middle from a draw in Stall 15.
