York 2.25
By UK Flat / AW (Northern)
NORTHERN - York 2.25 - Sprint Trophy - Handicap - Class 2 - 22 run - Soft
The Going as discussed should be soft and it's impossible to be certain about the draw but I think they will come middle to Stands side. I want a low draw option and have found one and I'm particularly keen to look at those with Autumn form as some have been on the go for a very long time.
There are 3 I'm very keen on, a couple for some shrapnel and one at a big price for a quid on the nose each way.
Just missing the nominations this time but worthy mentions of course to the likes of Montassib (Going worry), Albasheer ( Going), Wobwobwob (price and value hope he doesn't nick a big priced win off us like last time), Allezdancer (draw), Apollo One (draw), Significantly is the one to beat but I'm not convinced this isn't an afterthought! Laugh A Minute has run well in this race before and was the final one left off.
In order of preference I will go with-;
(1) Magical Spirit - a big price but just looks and feels primed to me - last 2 wins on soft Going off marks of 92 and 94 and runs off 93 drawn 12
(2) Hyperfocus - drawn low in Stall 4, runner up in this race last year off a mark of 92 and runs off a mark of 89
(3) Escobar - if you ignore the place positions and look at the distance beaten in last 2 runs he really i very well handicapped and running well enough dr 17 arrive late!
(4s) Bielsa - another old favourite very lightly raced all season, draw 8, form in soft and at trip and 98 is a very nice mark!
(5s) Aberhama Gold - I thought he' peaked mid summer BUT has some Autumn and Course and Distance form, peak summer wins 88 - 95 back to 98-3 claim - reviver!
(£1 e/w) It Just Takes Time - very big price but caught my eye - wins 84 and below 90 finally - off 89 - best form is on soft and heavy and is Going is sticky dr 16 an Autumn type for sure.
