AW - Windsor 3.10 Class 5 Handicap - Good to Firm - 13 run
I don't perceive any particular Draw bias on this Course on Good to Firm, they can all go one way or the other here if someone believes there is a "golden highway" of better ground, usually up one of the rails so when there is scope to hedge a pair against the field it will be my intention to look at extremes or draw either high or low on the figure of 8 Track.
Early season so AW fitness will be an asset for a little while providing they are not "sour" from an extensive AW campaign.
Mick Appleby is one of those who keeps his horses fit by racing them, the logic being they earn nothing in a field of running up the home gallops. His DOUBLE REFLECTION has been busy through the winter, arrives fit, a mark of 60 on the Turf reads well in the context of 2 Autumn turf runs off marks of 57 and 58 and drawn in Stall 13 gives us tactical scope from that side.
On the opposite side and one who ties in remarkably closely on 10 furlong AW form at Lingfield is THE JEAN GENIE who get Oisin Murphy up in the saddle and that's possibly a significant booking for a young man who will want to put the winter behind him and hit the ground running in search of winners.
The one to beat according to the market is Stopwatch but it's best turf form is over shorter, so we'll take it on.
Sensible staking 1/2 point Trackers on the Turf Flat until we build some momentum and form.
