NORTHERN-:
Carlisle 3.55 - Handicap - Class 5 - 7 furlongs - 12 run - Good to Soft - rain
A competitive looking race on paper but if we delve deeper there aren't too many proven with some cut in the ground and with more rain about that asset could be crucial.
At the top end of the market Kimifve returned to form last time out, has got a 4lbs penalty but is still well below best racing mark, I'm not sure about the Going though and at the price happy to take it on.
Monhammer is very consistent with form figures of 3-3-1-2-2- from marks ranging from 56 to 59, runs off a mark of 60 today and another who probably won't relish too much rain. At the price i'll take it on and the same applies to Bicep who following 2 decent wins has risen to a mark of 72 and Gumdrop, a slow developing 4 year old from the Fahey yard who may just need this run but a longer term prospect worth adding to your TRACKERS.
Miss Britain has been more impressive at shorter trips on better ground so far and Flying Pursuit is another who is better suited to more Sprint trips and usually better Going. Emporer Caradoc has a 6 furlong win on soft and has clearly been kept off firm Going and another worth adding to your TRACKER as it could pick up a small race. Mi Caprio and Billy Wedge at the bigger priced end of the spectrum don't strike me as being ready to take a hand in these conditions.
The pair who certainly tick the Going and other boxes are KATS BOB and JILLS ROSE.
KATS BOB is best of soft at 6 or 7 furlong, has won off a mark of 62, placed off a mark of 70 and runs off 70 here. JILLS ROSE has a 7 furlong win off a mark of 68 has all best runs in softer conditions so I don't see a mark of 72 being an excuse.

Doncaster 5.20 Handicap - Class 2 - 1 mile 2 furlongs - 12 run - Good to Soft
A decent race and one I'm particularly keen on.
Mujtaba for William Haggas is very much on a recovery mission after a stellar 2021 season. Nothing has clicked though this time around; and it remains to be seen what ability remains. At the price I can't recommend it. Just Fine for Sir Michael Stoute and Royal connections has a decent chance but doesn't cry out as being well handicapped.
Bell Rock is upped in trip with form on better Going, Cormier is 8 lbs higher than mark for winning at Chester, Bright Start is the most unexposed but off for 194 days and has to prove it can adapt to softer Turf. Forest Falcon was a game 14/1 winner for us at Goodwood, will again run its race but on slightly softer than ideal and an inflated mark of 100 I think it's vulnerable but possibly worth a small bet.
Vulcan and Isla Kai at big Odds but run off inflated marks although Vulcan will appreciate the rain.
The stand out for me is LEGEND OF DUBAI it's won over further so has the proven stamina, is fine on Good to Soft and has been gelded and just seems a horse that's ready to fulfil its potential in this Autumn stretch.
