Pontefract 4.00 - Handicap - Class 5 - 2 miles 1 Furlong - 15 run - Good to Firm
This is the 5th Leg of the popular Stayers series and attracts a field of 15 on Good to Firm with some Showers about.
The obvious ones are the top 2 in the market with Wynford very well supported and understandably so, and Flint Hill also well backed. Flint Hill though remains 5lbs above its last winning mark and Wynford has seen a handicap rating rise from 55 to 65 and I have a hunch a couple recently beaten by Wynford can turn the tables today.
WARRANTY gets a 6lb pull for a defeat of less than 4 lengths last time and the addition of cheekpieces is solid in these contests and looks decent each way value. Another in that last race where they met who gets a nice weight pull is John Berry's DEREHAM , 7 lbs for just over 5 lengths and another who looks ready to win a race of this nature.
Both are all about price and value and I give them a sporting chance of picking up some place money at least.

Ayr 4.45 - Handicap - Class 2 - 1 mile 2 furlongs - 13 run - Good to Firm
A good quality race where a couple jumped off the page at me and had good Tracker notes at nice e/w prices.
CHICHESTER for the Dalgleish team has been in some nice Class 2 and 3 races this term and never been far away. This is a soft Class 2 I think and possibly easiest recent assignment for the horse and I'd expect a bold run.
FIRST IMPRESSION won this race last year off a mark of 85. Comes back here a fresh horse, had a nice prep run and very hard not to assume this is a season long plan. John Quinn is an expert at placing horses to good effect and off a mark of 88 I think he's engineered a good opportunity to follow up 2020.
