NORTHERN - Sedgefield 3.30 Handicap Hurdle - Class 4 - 2 miles 4 furlongs - 14 run - Good

 

A dry day and no appreciable Going changes anticipated

 

Spot on Soph is in decent form but the handicapper may just about be in charge now and not a lot of wriggle room at the price, Prince Imperial and Brians jet both have scope and potential but unproven at the trip and ones more for the future possibly. I have added a few to the TRACKER, Zwicky who may need the run but one to follow especially here, Theirshegoes who has shown promise at this trip and up to 3 miles is another who may need the run today and further this season than this trip, Callistos King an ex Skelton horse who has shown promise in the past and should be able to pick up some wins for Phil Kirby. They have been added to the Tracker from today (not tips).

 

Sean Og has some decent Irish form but has been clobbered with a 10lbs rise for Diane Sayer, it's one i genuinely fear but there is another Irish import in here who actually runs off closer to its genuine Irish mark and that's BALLYQUIN BAY. It had a couple of runs to acclimatise and this ex Elliott horse also gets a tongue tie and cheekpieces and I have more than a hunch that today is the day. At bigger Odds I will have a shrapnel bet on JUST HANNAH, it's yet to fire in the UK but was a winner of a 3 mile P2P in Ireland, it beat a horse now with Katy Price in the UK that day who has recent won a race here off a mark of 100, so plenty of scope at some point for JUST HANNAH to be running very competitively off a mark of 85. I anticipate improvement from this one very soon!
