Scottish National Ayr 3.35

 

As usual in this type of race a number step up markedly in trip and need close assessment and  of those we will TRACK Undersupervision and Manofthepeople forwards as long term possibly really good long distance Chasing types. I think both will learn a lot today. I must add that Sean is quite keen on the enhanced place chances of both MALINA GIRL @ 14/1  and WAITNSEE @ 50/1 and having checked profiles of both I wouldn't put anyone off a look at them if you wish but I am confident that i have found 4 of the 23 runners who really should be capable of delivering some net profit for us here.

 

My 1-2 pick themselves based on proven stamina, current and past form and the view that they have been targeted at the race. With luck in running, which you always need in this type of race I can't see either KITTYS LIGHT or YOUR OWN STORY placing at worst if completing the race and I prefer them in that order.

 

Whilst both are at the top end of the market i think they represent great value as does FLOWER OF SCOTLAND  this one stays all day, is out of the handicap but carries a light weight as a result and I think the type to be laid out to finish and who will pass a lot of the tired 3 miler types in the home Straight and run in to a place. The forgotten horse of the race but one I noted for this at the start of the year is MAGNA SAM, very impressive when winning at Musselburgh when running and winning just short of 4 miles and I think it's been laid out specifically for this race and currently excellent value.
