A  competitive end of season lower grade Handicap and a few jumped off the page at me.

 

I fear Silver Screen and Gainsborough but both are restrictive price wise and  a few really did catch the eye last time and a couple more "lurk" due a win and off nice mark in ideal conditions.

 

Of those considered but left out, I think Poets Dawn is a bit high in the handicap now, Little Jo is feared but I just fancied a stablemate more although a big run would be no surprise, End Zone may find a level at some point and this is a step further down in search of a level but I really want to see something more tangible before investing (one that may be worth TRACKING as ability is clearly there), Perfect Swiss has had a light season, is eased in grade but may need better Going, and Wots The WiFi code looks another who is now in the grip of the handicapper.

 

If you want a £1 e/w on anything at a BIG PRICE then old MR STRUTTER who was 4th of 10 in his last Course and Distance run in April off a mark of 61, looks well handicapped off a mark of 60 and a high draw may not be the negative it is here when the ground is firmer.

 

My main selections though are -:

 

CISCO DISCO and MENELAUS both really caught my eye last time out as future winners ready to strike. I can't split them frankly and with CISCO DISCO drawn in Stall 1 and with some solid Irish form and experience on Soft and MENELAUS a progressive 3 year old who really did look like a next time out winner last time, I'll be very disappointed if one of those isn't the winner and t'other in at least an enhanced place.

 

At bigger odds and amongst the more experienced handicappers, TANGLED who steps back up to a mile and back in to Class 5 from Class 4 ticks all the right boxes and looks "due" as does END ZONE for whom Hollie Doyle is a eye opening booking for Roger Fell. Its got a nice draw, has really been trading water most of the season but off a declining mark is well overdue and we'll hope that Ms Doyle can be the magic missing ingredient today.
