At the head of the market are Rock Of Star who won well last time from an in form yard and the one they all have to beat IF you wanted a win saver. Walk In My Shoes on handicap debut for JonJo has done nothing wrong but it looks an OK handicap mark and at the price I'm not desperate to dive in and Son Of The Somme is up a combined 10lbs for being runner up twice.

 

On the terms of the race and conditions I think the each way value is ANNIES PRAYER for Jennie Candlish, a couple of solid runs will have got the horse absolutely race fit, a pound more off the weight won't do any harm and I'll be surprised if this one isn't picking up an enhanced place at the very least.

 

At nice e/w Odds I'll also throw some shrapnel at THE JAD FACTOR who improved for a step up in trip at Ayr last time and who can come on again now they are confident that the horse can run to the line on a track not dissimilar in configuration.

 

 

 

BIRD ON THE WIRE won when in our notified Trackers at 8/1 lst time and at around 5/1 in this competitive race looks a very strong each way price.

 

There are contenders from 2 of the bigger yards who have all shown promise but now have to turn that into tangible results so whilst Major Robinson and Blended Stealth are both dangers I think the market has them about right as it does for Tony Carrolls Dragoon Springs.

 

Queen Of Fame has some solid form at the trip in the Irish provinces but has been disappointing so far in the UK but could fire at some point, Ribeye has a 5lbs pull with Bird On The Wire but I think the McCain horse still has more than that in hand, Your Place IS in our long term Tracker and this 3 mile trip may eek out some improvement so one to keep an eye on again today.

 

ASKGAMOR and COURT AT SLIP are both at nice e/w prices and with 17 running some enhanced places up for grabs. ASKGAMOR had a couple of good placed runs in similar contests, has had a 50 day break avoiding the heavy ground and if freshened up can run well again and COURT AT SLIP ran well for a long way at Catterick last time before taking a tired fall at the last, if they run with a little more restraint they can pick up some place money here at least.
