NORTHERN - Doncaster 5.05 Handicap - Class 6 - 7 furlongs - 14 run - Soft (likely Heavy)

Our expert points out that in less extreme conditions that Asmund and Atomise would have excellent chances but he can't look beyond the favourite EY UP ITS JAZZ for a win bet.
At bigger Odds he is particularly keen on ELEVEN ELEVEN and for those who may want a shrapnel bet on early big Odds but a pair with some significant soft ground pointers have a look at RATAFIA and MAILINHEADSEAROVERS in that order.

NORTHERN - Thirsk 4.00 Handicap Class 3 - 1 mile - 13 run - Soft
The likes of Tafawaj, Challet Encourageable, Clear Angel, Cassy O and Freedom Day all have bits of soft ground form that suggest if the ground was soft that they would have reasonable chances, however with an expectation that the Going will be "Heavy" by the off time that moves the analysis towards 3 horses who would be more suited to the more extreme heavier Going.
PISANELLO is something of a standing dish in the mud at Thirsk and would be the most confident selection and for some e/w shrapnel ANOTHER BATT who won for us last time and who gets a penalty but is still below the previous winning mark and REDARNA who hasn't really fired recently but gets his ground today should also be bang in contention.
