Not too many here really catch the imagination.

 

I do think ROCKET DANCER at big early odds is worth backing and I suspect it may shorten in price before the off. It's got good Course and Distance form and is just showing signs of finding a mark it can be competitive off once again. The draw in Stall 13 may not be ideal but the mark certainly pulls me in.

 

Martins Brig is better on turf so far but is also well handicapped and could run a big race if taking to Tapeta. Capparis makes handicap debut for Fahey and has to be feared, I think Key Look is better at 7 furlongs, Cleveleys is another who makes AW debut, this one is from the O'Meara yard and I think they have a better chance with FROG AND TOAD it won for us at Thirsk in May off a mark of 68. It ran a promising AW debut here last week and if learning from that and not hating the kickback looks to have an excellent each way chance.

 

Balqaa could be vulnerable upped 5lbs but has impressive Course form and Russian Virtue looks too short in price to me despite coming from one of my favourite yards. I'm very keen though on KIRIMATI ISLAND who was impressive here last time, and I don't think a 4lbs penalty will be enough to stop it following up.
