NORTHERN - Warwick 3.25

 

Of the market leaders here I'm most keen on THE DUBAI WAY. It won as a younger horse over the 3 mile P2P fields and has won over 2 miles and upwards in Distance but now pitched back in to what I think will be its optimum trip and eek out more improvement. It has a highest win mark of 126, needed seasonal debut and looks potentially very well in off a mark of 117.

 

I prefer it to Frisco Bay and Dhowin who are both consistent types but who at 9/4 and 7/2 offer no real value in my opinion.

 

Goodnight Charlie will be a danger having won over 3 miles and 5 furlongs and a runner up too at a similar trip off marks in the high 90's, some Course form but I'm not sure why the drop in trip today? Keltus is in our long term TRacker but I'd prefer to watch on seasonal debut and Nessfield pulled up in the lead last time so not entirely trustworthy, its won in lower grade off 82 and placed off 85, could run a big race but on balance of form and that quirky nature I'll side step it today.

 

SMUGGLERS BLUES looks like a horse ready to win for Tom George, slowly running in to form and fitness and at the right trip and below its ast win mark so really no excuses today and from the Tracker on the basis of a very much in form Trainer (Gary Hanmer who has delivered us a couple of recent winners of one form or another) and the winner of this race in 2020 to back up the Trainer form is HIGH COUNSEL. This one too has no fitness concerns now and has won over Distance off 97 and at the Course off 88 and turns up off a very appealing 87 given the Trainers hot little spell.
