Kempton Wednesday 18th October

Kempton 8.00 - Handicap - Class 4 - 1 mile 4 furlongs - Standard / Slow - 13 run

Duke of Oxford and Malka head the market and that's based on form and potential but I don't think either represents great value. Imaginary World is another who has decent prospects here but with 13 runners and some enhanced places available, there are 3 with some good solid Course and Distance form who looked well handicapped and ready to prove their Course form.

RED FLYER looks the strongest, a Course and Distance runner up exactly a year ago off a mark in the low 80's who looks to be returning to that sort of form and off a mark of 79 tonight has no excuses if delivering to that sort of mark. FRENCH INVASION is a horse who has won both its races on Polytrack and has been in quite a bit deeper than this standard on turf, back to a mark of 80 it looks like one that's lurking just ready to improve for a return to the AW. HAKU had a 3 timer last winter off marks from 65 to 77 including Course and Distance wins off 65 and 70 and a place off a mark of 83. Clearly likes this track and after a break off a mark of 81 looks solid and definitely one to TRACK forwards here.

Tips (1) Red Flyer / (2s) French Invasion / (3s) if you want the 3rd punt - Haku

BOBBY KENNEDY is a worthy favourite here and if you want the win saver I would not discourage you from having that side bet.

Delvey looks to be on a decent mark and rates a big danger, Big Jimbo might just need this but Gary Moore may have him fit enough and Tom Quelley is excellent around Kempton. Its How We Roll ran some very good races over Course and Distance a few years back for John Spearing but may now be past its best for new connections having moved from Henry Oliver's yard. Kemerton is definitely one to keep a close eye on, it's best run has been on the AW but just some mixed messages about the trip here.

My top 2 and by some margin outside of the favourite are TIMEWAVE who has a Course and Distance win off a mark of 59, has dropped back below 60 to a mark of 58 and has no excuses for not running vert close here and LARGO BAY who is a Course and Distance winner off 67, placed off 71 and who looks incredibly well handicapped off a mark of 54 and a conscious decision to leave off all aids and headgear which is most interesting.

Tips (1) Timewave / (2) Largo Bay
