KEMPTON 8.15 Handicap - Class 6 - 11 run - 1 mile 3 furlongs.
I think MEISTERZINGER is the one they all have to beat here and the pace angles could easily set the race up for this strong travelling horse with winning 12 furlongs form, so a win saver is recommended.
The remainder aren't great in the main, a case could be made for Zoffany Portrait on one 2 year old run over 10 furlongs but it has to prove stamina here, Platinum Prince has had a decent Course and Distance run for Gary Moore but is ridden by an inexperienced Claimer and that just puts me off and How Hard Can It Be should be competitive off this mark but has disappointed plenty enough.
The pair I think offer some each way value to take on the favourite are TAWTHEEF whose Trainer and Jockey did us a favour yesterday with Ship To Shore and as we pointed out then a yard amongst the winners. The actual form of the horse suggests that whilst its prone to missing the break it has stamina at the trip and runs off a nice mark so it'll be disappointing of we can't pick up some place money at least. ALICE KITTY likes to run from or near the front and is on a nice mark of 61 and has shown it gets the trip when they get the fractions right. I do fear both could help set it up for the favourite if he gets a clear passage.
TIPS (1) Meisterzinger (win) (2) Tawtheef (3) Alice Kitty
KEMPTON 8.45 Handicap - Class 6 - 12 run - 2 miles
There aren't many in here who have run at this trip let alone made any kind of statement that they get it and can win at it. We do have a strong favourite in DAARIS stepped up in trip for Kevin Frost and Rossa Ryan and I'm inclined to suggest a win save to cover the confidence in it.
La Belle Vie has placed the last couple of times at Wolverhampton at the trip off a basement mark but doesn't represent much market value off a basement mark, Tying the Knot tired badly here close home on its last run for Alan King and could suffer a similar fate again.
A couple at nice Odds who have more proven stamina are HUSCARI who has won at the distance off this mark of 57 could run well at the decent Odds and may be better right handed and a bit more speculative off a 2 month break is CHENG GONG who has placed the last couple of times its run over Course and Distance on the All Weather here off a similar mark and who should be competitive if fit after a short break.
TIPS (1) Huscari / (2) Cheng Gong - consider win saver on Daaris @ 10/3
