Kelso Thursday 24th November
By UK Flat / AW (Northern)
NORTHERN - Kelso
KELSO 1.20 Handicap Hurdle - Class 5 - 2 Miles 5 Furlongs - 12 Run - Soft (possibly Heavy after morning rain)
At the top of the market I'd have concerns about Bestarius in the Going, and can't see the value in Azof Des Mottes and Rockman.
CORAL BLUE ran a fascinating race last time, going miles clear before fading up the steep final climb at Hexham. The trip today is a furlong further, but it's a flatter track. The horse can be held up but I'm intrigued enough to invest again.
Duty Calls has some 3 mile P2P form if you look far enough back and if its a frantic pace could benefit and one that definitely would benefit is KALAHARRY who despite being top weight may be well handicapped nw, its won over 3 miles on heavy Going and below its last winning mark.
TRACKER - Coral Blue / Shrapnel - Kalaharry + Duty Calls
-------
KELSO 1.55 Handicap Hurdle - Class 4 - 3 miles 2 furlongs - 11 run Soft > Heavy
This might be a real slog!
Fortcanyon is a dark horse at a big price, I think that Lissen To The Lady and Glittering Love will benefit for the run and Tartan Cookie may need better Going, the same applies to Deluxe Range, Shoeshine Boy and Lady Bowes.
I'm very keen on HOGANVILLE who is the one to beat and I'll have a win saver.
I think that both YOU SOME BOY who was very progressive last year and who will come on a lot for a recent seasonal debut and JESSIEMAC who is in the Tracker and who usually needs 2-3 runs and should now be approaching full sharpness and who will like the trip and Going and below last win mark have excellent place chances.
WIN - Hoganville - TRACKERS - You Some Boy + Jessiemac
