NORTHERN - Kelso 1.30 - Handicap Chase - Class 4 - 2 miles 5 and 1/2 furlongs - Heavy - 10 run
The more i looked at this race the more I crossed off on form, stamina, going concerns and was quite quickly left with just the one confident selection. There was one other DEEP CHARM who would have been a confident pick on some old form but who pulled up sharply after a wind operation last time so we have to take well being on trust.
WELL ABOVE PAR though looks ready to return to form after a couple of quiet runs for Lucinda Russell, a Course and Distance winner, I'll be very disappointed if the old spark doesn't return and deliver a place at least here. If you want to take a risk on the health of DEEP CHARM a small e/w shrapnel bet is advised.
