Punxsutawney Phil comes back over hurdles after a disappointing spell on the Flat and would have good claims based on a few NH runs last season, especially a bit of an eye-catching Autumn run at Cheltenham. The overall form though concerns me at such a price and I'm happy to take it on and I'm equally happy to take on Belvedere Blast who is up in trip and also off a higher handicap mark after recent successes.

 

I narrowed my selections down to a short list of three and just to cover off an possibility of the non-runners that have been plaguing us a bit the third of those KAYAKI will be the reserve pick, it's become a bit of a standing dish at Perth but has won left handed at Southwell and is off a nice mark and suitable Going.

 

My top two rated are FENNAS LOSS who has a Course win and a Course and Distance win in two visits here and they go back to the tongue tie that delivered one of those wins but which was discarded last time. ONWARD ROUTE is another course winner and a nice e/w price for Rebecca Menzies, it just gets this trip and has had a run just to get some milesback in to the legs and I fancy it'll be ridden tactically out the back and delivered as they turn in.
