NORTHERN - Hexham 3.10 Handicap Hurdle - Class 5 - 2 miles 7 1/2 furlongs - 12 run - Soft / Heavy
A tricky contest where I really think that in the conditions there may be some speculative value.
No less than 4 of the 12 runners ARE in the Tracker and all for good reason, I think that Colonel Manderson will not be suited to the Going or anticipated more rain, September Daisy may need the run and Dillarchie has proved frustrating, that leaves ROBBIE DAZZLER, another frustrating type but one whose best recent run was when runner up here last November off a mark of 79 in soft conditions, we'll give him one final chance of redemption off a mark of 72.
At the top of the market I think that both Atomic Angel who will definitely be suited by conditions may need the run and The Longest Day may be another who won't appreciate the ground.
BLENDED STEALTH and CHAMP ROYAL both catch my eye at big prices, CHAMP ROYAL has form in heavy ground in Ireland and a win at Worcester in soft ground off a mark of 93 and looks cracking early each way value. BLENDED STEALTH has scope to improve, handles the Going and the trip looks ideal. A small wager on both looks a smart move.
