A competitive race to start the Card, Going is Good to Soft with Soft in places, they've had some rain in the past 24 hours and although dry today I think it'll be good proper Soft Going.

 

Not too many at big prices really caught my eye, there may be a "lurker" in there but I can't see much with P2P form as an example to have a closer look at.

 

At the head of the market in On We Go who did well in the summer running up a sequence of 1-1-2-1 from marks of 72 to 90, it's been off 145 days and now runs off 97 and in these conditions I am keen to take it on.  

 

Court At Slip popped up for us at Newcastle at 25/1 last year but indications from the past suggest it'll need the run and that win has increased the mark so I think it's one to TRACK but to wait for everything to align like it did when it won. Atomic Angel tends to be better over 3 miles plus and on better going, and Piaff Bubbles has shown some promise but needs to hurdle better and when it does will be a nice prospect. 

 

At bigger prices the only one i think may be worth watching is Hideo who is on seasonal debut for Micky Hammond and Emma Chaston-Smith and she is a rider to watch very carefully as shes very impressive.

 

The Tracker System threw up YOUR PLACE ; CORAL BLUE and HUMPS AND BUMPS

 

HUMPS AND BUMPS is based on Irish form and is now moved to the UK. I'm inclined to watch this one today as its stepping back in trip and the UK Handicapper has assessed it 10lbs higher for moderate Irish form. It's a danger but I'm keener on the other pair.

 

YOUR PLACE has had 2 runs over 3 miles, this drop back in trip looks ideal when you look at runs at this sort of trip off marks around 84, it runs off 82 here, I think they have built race fitness and stamina up with those runs, got the mark down and now know they can attack this race running prominently and bringing fitness and stamina to the table. CORAL BLUE is another who is race fit after 3 runs and shaped better last time, its due a win and off this mark and at the trip really has no excuses today and I'll be very disappointed if one of those doesn't win and the other places. If 16 stand their ground and you can still get the industry standard to 4th and enhanced to 5th, it may be worth a shrapnel bet on Humps And Bumps too.
