HAYDOCK 2.50 - is a competitive Class 3 Sprint but you have to take any Going description here with a Dead Sea sized pinch of salt!
Magical Spirit gets his ground and looks targeted at the race as does Air Raid who was third last year and winner the year before off similar marks. Cold Stare (who is in the Tracker) and Punchbowl Flyer are clearly very much at home in soft conditions too. Tinto disappointed for us at Ayr but is eased in Class but by no means a mud lover.
If we had to pick one here for a sporting shrapnel bet it would be MARSHALL DAN who likes soft going, is on a nice mark of 84, the drop back to 6 furlongs may be a positive as it can run prominently at 7 furlongs and the deciding factor is a high draw in Stall 12 as high is normally preferable here in these conditions
REDCAR 4.10 is a 20 runner 7 furlong burn up on Good to Soft / Soft Going and an absolute minefield.
Flying pursuit is very well handicapped now and not running too badly and the Easterby's hold several strong options (Tim and Mick) but the pair we most like against the field for a sporting small e/w stake are SASSOON a former winner of this and a course specialist at this trip and further and ground variable and GREY BELLE who is a promising 3 year old very much at home on a soft surface.
