Doncaster 3.00

NORTHERN - Doncaster 3.00 Handicap Hurdle - Class 4 - 2 miles 3 and 1/2 furlongs - 16 run - Good (see above)
I'd like you to consider a small £1 each way on a couple at silly odds to begin with. KADEX @ 66/1 has no UK form but has good French form and has had a wind operation for Lucy Wadham. My biggest question is why has Bryony Frost come here for one ride, when she would normally have been riding at Exeter for her dad and other local connections?. NIKGARDE @ 66/1 is also of interest having shown some promise at 2 miles 5 furlongs before injury and has had a quiet reappearance that could herald an improved run.
Nora The Explorer is of interest in terms of a declining handicap mark but may just need the run after a break, Clear White Light has form chances but may just be stretched at the trip especially if the ground softens, at the top end of the market Maclaine for the Sherwood team steps up a bit in therm of Class but ran well last time, TOMMY CULLEN is probably the one to beat at the top of the market for the in form Longsdon team IF you want a win saver, Anti Bridgie has very impressive form figures but may be run off its feet early dropped in trip, Sporting Mike for the in form Ben Pauling team has obvious chances but runs with a penalty that makes the price too skinny for me.
With more exposed marks but some solid form I am most keen on GARDE DES CHAMPS and OKAWANGO DELTA who finished 1st and 4th on last runs here over course and Distance, Rose Dobbins horse gets a 4lbs penalty for the win and Dalgleish's horse gets a 5lbs pull for 4lengths. That looks solid form to me and I think these Northern trained horses are more than capable of taking on the horses from flashier Southern yards. The other one who caught my eye is the very inconsistent BETTYS BANJO whose form is yoyo but who strikes me as a type to be that way and if putting best foot forwards is worth a punt at a nice price. Don't forget the £1 e/w pokes though!
