They often come Stand side on Soft Going here and with many needing the run it's worth looking at any with some race fitness from the AW, form on soft and fresh and also with a higher stall draw. One of those races where it's worth speculating a little.

 

At big odds I wouldn't totally rule out a big run from Tiltilys Rock. It was a Course and Distance winner in 2020 off a much higher mark has dropped all the way down to a mark of 46, has form on Good to Soft and a berth in Stall 11 gives it a chance. Definitely one for the £1 e/w brigade at silly odds.

 

At the head of the market Elzall does tick every box except being drawn low, at the price I can take it on. Twice Adaay makes stable debut with a good form chance and the draw is less of a concern and Spanish Angel would be very much of interest but for a draw in Stall 1. On Good ground I'd suggest it would be near Odds on but today I'm taking the contrarian high draw angle on the soft ground.

 

Sarahs Hope nearly got a nod from me drawn in 8 and well handicapped on some form and its one to track and watch if showing any glimmers of a return to form today.

 

My three against the field at decent early Odds (suggest you take a price as they may be backed later on) are THE GLOAMING - drawn 12, last 2 wins have been on Soft Going, well enough handicapped off 56 and is AW fit. BLUELLA is a Course and Distance winner and also AW fit, off a nice mark my only niggle is stall 3 but I will have one low and this is the best value in that sector of the draw for me. STRONSAY is drawn 15 and that could be the prime pitch. A Course winner at 6 furlongs and that bit of stamina may come in to play here, best form is on soft Going and although no great record fresh it's run well for a fair way so that stamina at 6 furlongs may get it home at 5 furlongs before it needs a blow.

With some enhanced places on offer here I really could only find a couple and at nice odds that tick all the right boxes today.

 

FIREWATER is race fit and that could be a big asset in likely deteriorating conditions. Its best runs have been on soft and heavy and it runs off a fair mark. It's very interesting at the price and although Stall 14 is not ideal usually at this trip, it'll have time to find a position and then use its fitness later on. Take an early price as I've a hunch the more shrewd analysts out there will latch on.

 

JAMIL is a Course and Distance winner off 56. It's been Hurdling so will be fit and ready and well worth a punt off a reduced Flat mark of 48.
