Carlisle 3.50

I will take on the favourite Mostawaa with rain about and off it's current mark, the soft Irish ground form shown by Pointers Palette before joining Rebecca Menzies is of interest if it really bucketed down and that's one to keep a close eye on. Shaladar keeps knocking at the door of the current mark but either needs a few more pounds off or for everything to drop right but he wasn't lightly overlooked.

At big Odds i wouldn't totally rule out Bashful Ben up 8lbs to a mark of 78 IF the rains did come and together with Pointers Palette if it went Soft > Heavy then a late shrapnel bet may be a sensible course of action if any of the 3 main selections are non-runners.

I am extremely confident though on anything from Good to Soft to Good to Firm about PILLAR OF HOPE, Joe Fanning rides for Charlie and Mark Johnston and the horse , who clearly didn't stay 10 furlongs last time fading in the final half furlong, will surely love a fast run mile on this tough Course.

At bigger odds and with the likely rain fully factored in I think that both TILSITT who was 4th last year in this, off a nice mark and race fit and HORTZADOR who has dropped to a very tempting mark and who has shown a few signs of having reached a mark it can still win off, should both be competitive at very nice e/w prices.
