Beverley 2.30

Beverley 2.30 - Class 5 Handicap over 7 1/2 Furlongs and Going is Good to Firm with some showers forecast. No excuse about the Going then and I narrowed down to 3 runners who look well handicapped to me. I will leave out HARVEST DAY who has strong claims on form book but not convinced the price is great value (unless you want a small win saver and in a T/C perm).

 

I like a couple at bigger odds, COVIGLIA won off marks of 53 (twice) - 60 - 65 last season and moved up in Class and has taken time to get back to a Handicap mark it can win or be very competitive off. May be a race too soon but at the generous Odds and off a mark of 63 I quite fancy its chances here and will track after today if no profit today as one to follow closely as mark drops. The other one that really caught the eye is FINAL FRONTIER drawn in Stall 5 for Ruth Carr a lightly raced ex Irish horse who comes down to Class 5 off a career low mark. Every horse with any ability can eventually find a level at which it can win and be competitive and another at decent Odds and a good chance today but also to track in next few runs too.
