Ayr 4.50
By UK Flat / AW (Northern)
NORTHERN - Ayr 4.50 Handicap - Class 6 - 1 mile - Good to Soft - Rain
A couple really caught my eye here in likely heavy ground conditions if the forecasts are right.
I will take on Camacho Star, an in form 3 year old with a 4lbs penalty for whom this may be too much of a slog and Ayr Poet who is a worthy favourite but at the price not really great value with concerns too if it gets really heavy. Chinese Spirit is running consistently well here and always possible it will "pop up" but generally best on more solid ground, Bulls Aye is another who won't want too much rain, the same applies to Yeehah and I am not convinced of the stamina for this in the conditions of Yorkstone.
Can't Stop Now may just need this run but it is a very interesting one to follow so I have added to the TRACKER. At big Odds if you want some e/w shrapnel then RETIREMENT BECKONS is another Linda Perratt horse that you can never discount here and a big run from Pretty Bouquet would not be a complete surprise for Jenny Candlish.
My pair against the 14 runner field though are FIFTY SENT who drops back from 10 furlongs sowho should be running at and through the line at 1 miles here off a nice mark with some good soft ground form and GOLDEN VALOUR who also drops back from 10 furlongs with form on soft and heavy ground and also off a very competitive handicap mark.
Tips (1) Fifty Sent / (2) Golden Valour - shrapnel e/w if you wish on 11 Retirement Beckons @ 25/1
