The percentage call here are the Appleby pair 7 MODERN GAMES and 9 NATIVE TRAIL in that order for Placepot and any specific race Betting. Inspiral has an obvious chance. At bigger Odds if you want to attack the 4th place enhanced with some shrapnel - LUSAIL@ 33/1  from the Hannon yard and TRIPLE TIME @ 28/1 for the Ryan Yard are both Yards with a reputation for finding something at a price to deliver a shock!

 

 

17 RIVER  TIBER and 3 ASADNA are the obvious Placepot horses as we aim to stay in contention in the Pot and then try for more value further down the Card. In terms of small e/w bets CHIEF MANKATO @ 25/1  has some 6 furlong stamina that may come to the fore off a fast pace,ARMY ETHOS @ 20/1  was visually impressive and impressive on the clock at Ayr, at bigger prices still our Northern expert is particularly sweet on POLITICO @ 125/1 for the red hot Johnston yard and again the value for a stable who target the race may lie with Hannons - THE CAMDEN COLT @ 80/1 - those pair are drawn 3 and 21 so cover any bias and well worth a shrapnel e/w to 5th place.   

 

 

12 HIGHFIELD PRINCESS seems to be the one they all have to beat and the usually very conservative Trainer seems very quietly confident. 19 DRAMATISED will be the other on for the Placepot perm and both worth small singles. Of the remainder both CHIPSTEAD and TWILIGHT CALLS look solid e/w singles value to enhanced places and at much bigger odds EXISTENT @ 100/1  and MOONIESTA @ 50/1 may outrun their odds that look over-priced.

 

 

7 MOSTABSHIR and 8 PADDINGTON are the chosen Placepot punts, its hard to rule out Chaldean and Royal Scotman (who ran well for us in the English Guineas) and at a bigger price INDESTRUCTABLE @ 40/1 gets his ground finally and may improve for it. This race though I think best watched and enjoyed for everything about wanting at least one to finish 1-2-3 to keep the Placepot (hopefully alive).

 

 

17 LAW OF THE SEA and 11 ZOFFEE are the 2 main each way tips (full stake) and carry the hopes of the Placepot perm. With enhancements to 6th we'll then have 50% bets each way on NOVEL LEGEND , URBAN ARTIST and CALLING THE WIND. The main tips have very solid form and no excuses and in the secondary list we like the improving Novel Legend, Urban Artist ran well in this race in 2022 and should have learnt from that experience and Calling The Wind has some very good and consistent course form.

 

 

1 BUCKAROO is the one to beat and a solid one for the Placepot, we've been waiting for this race for 6 CADILLAC @ 10/1 and will have the P/Pot on that and a full each way Single bet. With enhanced Odds to 4th place well worth a small side shrapnel e/w on the progressive KING OF CONQUEST @ 9/1, both Franceso Clemente and the returning Highland Avenue rate real dangers too.

We did consider this for a formal Tip race but prefer to play a bit of shrapnel elsewhere...It's very hard to look past Vauban, Ruling Dynasty and Absurde in that order, if you want a small e./w interest then we are VERY KEEN at the prices and enhanced to 5th on SAM COOKE @ 25/1  with Get Shirty (2022 winner) @ 33/1 , Point King @ 14/1  and Alright Sunshine (4th last year) @ 66/1 looking over-priced too.

 

I've HIGHLIGHTED the best of the shrapnel e/w tips in Blue italics, POLITICO and SAM COOKE being the strongest fancied in Bold.
