Lingfield 2.00 Amateur Rider handicap - Class 6 - 1 mile - 12 run - Standard
At the top end of the market we have Swiss Pride who steps up in trip after 50 plus runs at shorter distances, Rabinal who is a free running sort who may be better suited to professional handling and Daisy Roots who may need the run.
Not being disrespectful to anyone but LUNA MAGIC who is solid in this Grade and who should be competing off a mark of 60 and VERONA STAR who was narrowly beaten by LUNA MAGIC at Wolverhampton recently, have head and shoulders the most experienced and capable Jockeys in this race and on this occasion, whilst they can't carry a horse over the line, you'd expect their track craft and skill to count for a lot.

Newcastle 2.20 Handicap - Class 6 - 1 mile 2 furlongs - 12 run - Standard
There are strong reasons to suggest that Busby , Dougies Dream and We Still Believe may dominate this race at the top of the market and I would not put anyone off a few quid on a T/Cast Perm and D/Fcast Perms on the three runners.
However, the fact that they are priced between 4/1 and 11/2 and frankly inseparable for singles betting purposes, opens up a chance to have a small bet each way on something more speculative.
ANA EMERAATY is a nice e/w price against the field and has a Course win and has stayed on a few times and run through the line at 10 furlongs and looks a bit overpriced to me. I also think a small punt on the higher priced GOLDEN ECHO on handicap debut may be a worthy investment. Three qualifying runs at shorter distances have suggested the horse has ability but needs this sort of trip and there is plenty of 10-12 form on the sires side to suggest it could have its best chance yet of delivering some place profit.
