Carlisle 3.15 - Handicap - Class 4 - 1 mile - 17 run - Soft

A competitive field but I narrowed my shortlist down to a half dozen, of these I think that the dangerous Mysteryofthesands is probably best at a slightly shorter trip and this uphill climb will stretch stamina. Pisanello has been a great servant but is on a declining mark due to clear signs of regression this season, Mostawaa who has been 1st and 3rd in the last 2 editions of the Carlisle Bell is clearly a danger here but the form too is starting to look a bit exposed and he is 4th best rated.

MAKEEN is a very nice price and very consistent and I just feel ready to win, handicapped to win and a confident e/w poke. Barley won at this meeting in 2024, is 6lbs higher but has run and placed at this mark since and the course form is a big positive as is the ground and Epidavros is a filly in decent form who handles the ground well. Carlisle 4.50 - Carlisle Bell Handicap - Class 4 - Class 4 - 1 mile - 17 run - Soft

You can never discount the 11 year old Redarna at this venue whilst Good morning Alex is likely to set the pace and try to make all, the softer Going may just mean it sets the race up nicely for a closer from off the pace.

CRACK SHOT drops into Class 4 and looks the best horse in the race for an in-form team who are rarely far from the winners' enclosures. CANDONOMORE drops in trip and with proven stamina looks a very solid contender here off a nice mark for a Trainer / Jockey combination who love raiding this venue and LLAMARTY DREAMS who was runner up in this race in 2023 has shown a few signs of returning to that sort of level in recent runs for a Yard whose horses just seem to be coming to hand again (The Advisor)

Worcester 2.33 - Handicap Chase - Class 5 - 2 miles 7 furlongs - 15 run - Good

McGregors Charge looks "win saver" material in a race where a few need to prove health and fitness and an inordinate number seemed to have "nose-bleeds" last time, literally not figuratively speaking.

CARRIGLUX has a promising 3 mile P2P background and best runs have come on galloping Courses like this, a raid raider for a highly respected operation who don't waste bullets and chances like this. WATCHOUTITSCOOKIE has a relatively solid profile compared to most in the field, is a definite stayer and really should be staying on in to a place at least and PRINCE CLENI whose best form is at Southwell, does appreciate flatter tracks like this and refreshed off a 3  month break is another who should really be in contention on known form in the closing stages.
