Goodwood 1.50 Handicap - 10 furlongs - Good / Good to Firm - Class 2 - 18 run
Enfjaar is a worthy favourite on current form and a win saver at about 3/1 may be a very smart bet and we've included it in the Placepot. However, its best runs have been with some cut in the ground and for that reason, I want to look for better each way value, I do think it's 60% likely to win IF you want the saver bet but 3-4 others really have caught my eye!
I can see the chances of Tony Montana (solid and decent chance), Aerion Power (trip concerns though) and Real Gain (recovery mission after Royal Ascot) but a fair few of those and others aren't fully proven at this trip.
Of the remainder, Wadacre Gomez has excellent AW form and the Yard are always very dangerous here and indeed in KILLYBEGS WARRIOR they have one I rated third best who looks and possibly is out of form but down to a mark below 100 and on rapidly firming ground I will be disappointed if this one isn't in the first 4-5 home and well worth an investment. My 4th rated too runs at a nice price and is KINGS CODE off a nice mark of 90, around 25/1, solid and consistent, exposed but another who will love the sun and drying conditions.
My clear top 2 rated though are BYSTANDER from the Burke yard, another who will welcome the drying underfoot conditions and from a Yard who seem to be on a real roll and STAY WELL who does exactly as it says in the name, best recently on the AW tracks but who will also appreciate the drying ground and gets the capable assistance of Hollie Doyle (TA)

Galway 8.15 - Handicap - 1 mile 1/2 furlong - 18 run - Yielding
I think the going here will be as described, slightly holding ground on a quiet still claggy cloudy day.
I'm happy to take on the penalised Blackcastle Storm and River Derwent and have trip niggles enough to put me off Alessia Fernanda, who was unlucky in running last time but who might be found out in the closing stages here. Sirjack Thomas would be a huge danger with a run from reserve and I was very close to putting up Miss Abby Jools who has had 2 poor runs this season but may be a plot hiding in plain sight, I hope not; and Palo Duro, this one may have been trained to a plot by Tony Martin, currently banned and the Booking of the champion by Mrs O'Leary may be indicative of some confidence. Those pair would be frustrating if winning, but I have 4 I rated higher.
I'm most excited about the chances of RAMPAGE a Course and Distance winner off 66 who runs off 68 with a 5lbs claim and for whom I can't find any excuses not to invest in. I'm equally confident in the chances of ONE BOSS who is ridden by Billy Lee, she should be very competitive and again, very hard to find any reason not to invest.
A couple at bigger Odds who I really think have excellent place chances are PILLAR OF HOPE who could be somewhat thrown in here on some solid UK for and who may not yet have been running on full throttle over here, a plot = maybe! The fact Seamie Heffernan gets the leg up at 33-40/1 adds to my confidence. CLEAR QUARTZ too is running off a very nice mark, and arrives frighteningly fresh off a 3 month break. (Sean)

Goodwood 5.20 Fillies Handicap - Class 3 - 1 mile - 13 run
Just a pair here who really stand out as strong contenders and an each way punt is recommended.
ARISAIG is very highly rated by connections and strongly fancied and CIRCE looks to still have some scope and will welcome the drying ground. (Northern)
