Yarmouth 3.40 - Handicap - Class 5 - 1 mile 2 furlongs - 14 run - Good to Soft / Soft
Coolree was a nice 9/1 winner for us last time out but that was over a mile at Beverley on Good to Firm Going and I think that sort of trip and ground and an uphill finish better suits this horse. Show Biz Kid would be a speculative e/w punt who has Course and Distance form but surely better on firmer ground. My 3rd best rated, and a decent reserve if we had a late non runner would be Woodstock City for ian Williams, the drop in trip may suit and this French bred ex provincial French track horse, does have some form in sifter conditions.
My clear top rated though are SATURN FIVE who has started to look more like its old self after a break, would not want too much rain but I think 5-6/1 is good e/w value and it would be a surprise if this one wasn't placed at the very least. SOLANNA is a Course and Distance winner, back in trip and to ideal conditions and is also AW race fit. (RJ)

Ripon 3.50 - Handicap Class 3 - 1 mile 2 furlongs - 11 run - Good
I do like horses with Course form here, the undulations on the Round Course can be tricky and it's a bit like driving down a long road with lots of traffic lights, in the same way that you can meet them all on green or all on red, these dips can unbalance and horse if they are not used to them.
I was interested in 4 of the 11 runners mainly and of those 4 I would suggest Ey Up It's The Boss is a decent speculative bigger priced e/w chance with its Course record and Arthur's Realm deserves a mention too with some good Course form and rain would be a boost to this one.
My top 2 rated though are HAVE SECRET who looks a nice win saver or each way Banker, depending on how you view a price around 4/1, very surprised if this one doesn't finish in the first 3 home. FINANCIER is a double figure price early on, disappointed last time but simply never got into a race where the early pace dominated but the previous run perhaps showed more of a glimpse of the horses potential. Carlisle 7,50 - Handicap - Class 6 - 1 mile - 13 run - Good
A decent betting race and I wouldn't rule out an old timer like Langholm reviving off this sort of mark nor Elettaria, who can be a slow starter but who could find this stiff uphill climb bringing early pace horses back to the field and vulnerable to a fast closer. TOP GUN TINA @ 12/1 was an eye catcher and noted finishing fast last time, is 3rd best rated but if there are any enhanced places, one who could seriously be considered for a top 4 finish.
My top pair though in preference order are LITTLE TED who is also a slow starter on occasions but who drops in trip off a winning mark and is very well handicapped despite top weight. AMERICAN STAR was noted too last time and looks like one who could just be running in to form for a Yard amongst the winners. (North)

Sandown 7.50 - Handicap - Class 3 - 1 mile - 13 run - Good
This is a really nice decent Class 3 race that looks sure to produce plenty of winners in the coming months. A fair few will improve for the run here and whilst Hickory was a big priced winner for us at Royal Ascot last time, I feel that the straight Track there is far better suited for this horse.
My top 2 rated in a very competitive field are HAFREET ALAIN who is one of those quirky types who tend to run best fresh and first time out and then fade as the season progresses, off a very nice mark as a result and a bit speculative because of the absence but the value is in the price I think. Of the remainder, SURREY SHADOW who appeared at the opening Flat season Meeting at Doncaster has clearly been waiting for suitable ground and whilst race fit, has a freshness as a result and well worth a small e/w poke here.
