AW Expert-:
Lingfield 3.38 - Handicap - Class 6 - 1 mile 2 furlongs - 11 run - Standard (could ride on slow side)
A fair few of these are not that well handicapped and at the top end of the market the likes of Renesmee, for whom Course form is a worry, Crafter, a 66/1 runner up last time but not sure to run the same type of race consecutively, Solanna a Course and Distance winner but not in great form currently and Johnary who has stamina concerns, all look vulnerable.
The main value therefore may lie with CURTIZ who shaped well on a return to the AW recently and who looks well enough handicapped off a mark of 60. just 3lbs above a Course and Distance win mark of 57, and a drop back to 10 furlongs looks to be a very sensible move.
The only other one to note, if you wanted a side put would be Celebrity Ethel whose Irish form includes a win off 68 and whose UK AW form has a few glimmers of potential, a mark of 61 here with fitness assured may just be at the sort of mark that the horse can nick a place at least at.
Wolverhampton 6.40 Handicap - Class 4 - 1 mile 4 furlongs - 11 run Standard (may ride on slow side)
With a couple from big Yards including a so far disappointing Gosden 3 year old and Ludos Landing from the Johnston yard whose best AW form seems to be right handed at Kempton and a number who look weighted to the hilt my shortlist is again short.
It's understandable on current form why Haku and Kitty Furnival head the markets but far less logical why WAY OF LIFE who has some very solid collateral form is such a high price and I think that is where the value lies tonight. If there is a second punt then a similar collateral form case can be made for LORDSBRIDGE BLU and both are double figures prices at the time of writing.
