Uttoxeter 1.30 Handicap Hurdle - Class 2 - 2 miles 7 and 1/2 furlongs - 14 run - Good
A competitive summer Jumping Hurdle race and whilst I looked long at Roger Pol , the shortness of the price and the relative fragility of his novice like jumping just in my opinion makes him vulnerable.
I will TRACK Jaytee forwards, one run, tailed off, after a long absence means we still don't know what ability remains, this is a tough race but any sign of the old form should be noted. Johnson's Blue is another who missed a fair chunk of action but is further down the recovery road and a better run into the enhanced places would be no surprise. I have him as my 4th best rated. The very unexposed Twist Of Fatecatch was my third best rated and this is a horse who could frankly be anything in terms of improvement.
My top two rated though on known form are MINELLA RESCUE who is being backed so can be either a win saver or e/w banker at around 5/1 a progressive horse in ideal conditions, MOSTLY SUNNY should be in the top 3 home and is a horse with a bit more scope and ceiling from the Skeltons (Robin T)

Uttoxeter 2.00 Handicap Chase - Class 2- 3 miles 2 furlongs - 15 run - Good
I don't think race has the depth of the earlier one with a fair few upped in Class. At a very big price, I'm less intrigued by the form of Ashtown Lad, who is a stone lighter than at peak and who at peak would have been a warm order here, and who may actually not have been a decent each way poke anyway, what really does intrigue me is that after leaving the Skeltons he had one run for the winner laden Guerreiro yard before joining David O'Meara. That made me blink a bit, I think the Yard has a few hurdlers but very much Flat race based, it might be a " fun project" but worth a small nibble at 40/1 ish
Coco Madamoiselle does look the one to beat but the price is skinny, it's up to a mark of 140 from 123 and 130 and is upped 2 furlongs further in trip. I think there are enough doubts there to take her on.
Hymac is my 3rd rated and a very solid and usually consistent horse and a handy reserve IF either of the top 2 rated are non runners, but only if that's the case.
HANG IN THERE won this race last year, looks laid out for a bold bid, race fit and delivered possibly very cleverly off a 3lbs lower mark and despite top weight of 12 stones, one I really fancy. MANOTHEPEOPLE is also a very solid and improving contender, ideal trip, not too harsh a penalty for a recent win, necessary ability and interesting that Fergal O'Brien takes the somewhat unusual step of reaching for 1st time blinkers.
