Galway 2.35 - Handicap Chase - 2 miles 6 and 1/2 furlongs - 18 run - Yielding to Soft

We have 3 of the runners in the Tracker System but of them Mustameet Secret would have major stamina concerns, Fill The Tank is out of form but is on a nice Chase mark if reviving and wasn't lightly discounting and West Clare is a recent hurdles winner but carries a 7lbs penalty on Chase debut and this track configuration can find out a novice Fence jumper.

A number will definitely come on for seasonal debuts and some come off longer breaks. Aodhan May had an excellent season last season but on reappearance runs over past few seasons has been Pulled Up and twice 10th, so may need the run, Doonbeg Don for De Bromhead makes Chase debut but has a sole P2P run that suggests he might make a nice chaser, Starlight Cato will likely need the run too but I like this ones profile so am adding to the TRACKER from today.

Having looked at all 18, I am most confident in a couple here for an investment.

LIKEABLE CHANCER won at 2 miles 7 furlongs off a mark of 73 when tipped, has then run good places off a revised mark of 81 over trips of 2 miles 2 and 2 miles 3 furlongs and the step back up in trip does not concern me and off a mark of 84 with a good 5lbs Claimer up he was the one who ticked all of the right boxes and looks a solid each way punt.

AGIRLCALLEDCHLOE carries just 10 stones and although a pound out of the handicap can really take advantage of this light weight. the drop in trip from 3 miles is a big plus and I'll be very disappointed if she isn't running an enhanced place here at least (MG)

Wexford 4.00 Handicap Hurdle - 2 miles 4 furlongs - 14 run - Yielding

The one to beat here according to the market is Duke Silver, trained by JP O'Brien and Paul Townend booked, upped in trip if you want a win saver if you can get 3/1 or better, I would not put you off as sometimes the blindingly obvious is blindingly obvious!

Stellar Symphony is in the TRACKER but off this mark and this trip is vulnerable.

Of the remainder; Western Model and Junot would have solid place claims but both currently look to be in the grip of the handicapper but not lightly discarded. At big Odds keep an eye on Cullagh Pride whose best run so far is over this quirky Course and Distance and an interesting jockey booking makes me suggest a very small e/w wager for those who want to chase the enhanced place.

My top 2 rated though aside from the favourite are JACENRY who is on a nice mark and was in generally good  form before falling on Chase debut last time, provided that has not left a mental mark he can really give the favourite a good race on known form.

At bigger Odds we have ROCKVIEW ROMAN who has placed over this trip a few times and has some decent Course form and off a mark of 96 with a 7lbs Claim just jumps off the page a bit as an overpriced horse who ticks enough boxes to be a decent speculative punt. (Sean)
