Kilbeggan 3.17 - Handicap Hurdle - 2 miles 4 furlongs - 16 run - Good to Yielding

At the top end of the market are Blue Reed, who is up to its best trip but who may need significantly softer ground than this and unless it rains heavily I would prefer GIVE HIM A CHANCE who showed promise on penultimate run and fell when right in contention last time. If in the same form he is preferred.

I want to add both Joanna'sjean and Run For Cover to the TRACKER system after this race, I think both can win races this summer but will in all probability come on considerably for the run today in terms of race fitness.

My second rated is OUR UNCLE JACK  who is slowly regaining race sharpness after a long lay off and really could be running a place in this company at the very least today. With 16 runners and some reserves, if you wanted a 3rd punt to enhanced places, then at more speculative Odds, I like the profile of SILENT DAWN and if first time cheekpieces just add a little bit of extra edge, this one could well place at nice e/w odds (Sean)

Listowel 4.40 - Handicap - 2 miles - 15 run - Good to Yielding

A competitive 2 mile Flat handicap and I'm going to take on the likely favourite El Dorado Rock who carries an 8lbs penalty, DARK NOTE is my top rated and provided he gets out of the Stalls ok is the one they all have to beat in my opinion. MAKE GOOD is a decent Flat stayer who will be all the better for a decent run and who can definitely take a hand here too.

With enhanced places available, I toyed with the Gavin Cromwell trained Empress Alma and the exposed but solid SCOTT LANG for 3rd rated, if you want to have an extra bash at enhanced places, and with Empress Alma still a little high in the handicap, SCOTT LANG a distance winner, gets the nod. I do think Empress Alma will win races but just needs a few lbs off (MG)

Nottingham 5.30 - Handicap - Class 5 - 1 mile 1/2 furlong - 13 run - Good to Soft

A whole load of these are prominent front runners, in looking for the best of them and also a possible hold up horse it is worth noting that this Course is generally suited to front running types.

Rising Force who can be delivered late was very strongly considered and if by 5.30 you have noted that hold-up horses have been delivering something, I would certainly not put you off considering a small side bet, as sometimes we should be flexible to what may or may not be patently obvious. I will TRACK Siam Fox forwards after today as this one is below its last winning turf mark and may just need this run to be 100% fit.

My top 2 rated are CHARENCY who was best at 7 furlongs last season but signs in running and definitely in the pedigree that 1 mile may be best trip and the Yard is slowly running in to form at last. PHONE TAG drops back from 10 furlongs and this could also be optimum trip for this one and locally trained by Kevin Frost, whose horses should always be noted here (RJ)

TRACKERS (these are NOT tips as such - just horses noted last time / and trainer/jockey angles to follow)

Chelmsford 5.15 - Physique (Trainer angle - this is one of those poxy Premier mickey mouse meetings at the worst track in the UK)
Chelmsford 6.45 - Be Frank - noted in running last time
Fakenham 5.05 - Another Mystery - noted in running
KIlbeggan 4.52 - Big Island (Danny Mullins sole run angle - which is under review as not really delivering - another angle for him is incoming)
