Sandown 2.05 -:
Classic @ 14/1 is of significant interest in a very competitive race as it needed its seasonal debut and suffered interference and well worth a look if you wanted a second horse in the race. However the main selection is BLUELIGHT BAY at very nice e/w odds. A well handicapped horse who would not want softer than Good to Soft but who may well get that unless there is an unexpected deluge. (TA)
York 2.25 -:
A typical York handicap with 20 runners and a whole host with reasonable claims. I'm going to TRACK - Eligible - who is off a nice mark and who should be winning a race like this soon but for whom the softening ground would be a big concern. I am really taken though with the chances of two Tim Easterby runners, BOARDMAN may finally have found a level and Grade it can win at again and it will be disappointing if he's not in the first 5 home here with luck in running. I'm actually keener though on QUEST FOR FUN who really is a page jumper and for whom Stall 20 may be ideal if they come to Stands side. He could get a lovely tow and with an excellent Course and Distance record in big Sprints could run an enhanced place at nice Odds (North)
Downpatrick 4.35 -:
I am loath to leave out Welsh Saint and Centurion Steel but I'm keen on a pair of Course specialists at bigger early odds.
NUTTORIDGE is in the Tracker and I'm very keen to tip this horse a second time out this season. It's a Course and Distance winner who usually needs a run but who won on second appearance in 2022 and was runner up second time out last season. OCEAN LEGACY is another Course and Distance specialist who looks primed , a handy 7lbs Claim off 88 takes it below last winning mark of 83 and it was unlucky to fall last time when noticeably coming in to contention. Hexham 5.27-:
A lot of ifs and buts in here but other than Arctic Breeze , who I will TRACK forwards given connections and a few interesting runs, the one who I really like is GOODOLDBILL. It's down to a winning mark, has popped up to win before after being "Pulled up" and will come on for a recent return and actually has stronger credentials than most in the race (North)
Uttoxeter 8.15-:
We have 3 last time out winners here in My Monty; Prince De Juilley and Mr Tambourine Man. The first pair are progressive and will be tough to crack and may be worth a small side Reverse F/Cast.
I have added Nora The Xplorer to my TRACKER as it's interesting that it's moved to a very progressive yard having gone a bit sour at Don McCains yard. I expect an upturn quite quickly.Lemoos Legend is interesting back over hurdles for the Bowens. Crossing the Bar @ 11/1 continues to frustrate and just missed a tip here as third rated so reserve if either of the following don't run
I'm most keen on BRIGHT SUNBIRD here, slowly running into form and fitness and should deliver soon for relatively new connections. JUKEBOX d'EDDY was visually very impressive last time upped beyond this trip and may be the most progressive one in the race. (DT)
