FL - 4.15 Handicap - Class 5 - 1 mile - 14 run - Soft (had to double check Going but seems accurate)
At the top end of the market both City Cyclone and Golden Thorn look solid and will take the beating but I believe both are better at 7 furlongs and this is a tough mile to get and the soft Going won't particularly benefit either. One who does handle the Going is Lunarscope, he might just need the run and I'll track him.
Three caught my eye and of them CITY OF YORK who is more exposed than some does have form in this sort of ground, gets the trip and is on a very decent mark just gets top rating ahead of an unexposed 3 year old in CONDOTTI who is in the TRACKER and who gets first time cheekpieces and looks one with plenty of scope still. If we had a non runner or to enhance places my clear 3rd rated is Moonjid who drops back in trip and may be doing best work late on. (The Advisor)

Pontefract 5.00 - Handicap - Class 6 - 1 mile - 13 run - Good to Firm
Another race with a pretty tough 1 mile Course finishing up the hill. Where's The Crumpet ran well at Carlisle last time, a similarly hilly finish but the mark has gone over 50 and I'm not totally convinced Good to Firm suits so I will take it on. Dash Power is also well supported and ran well of first turf run in over 2 years last time at Yarmouth, the form has been franked and if you wanted a win-saver he'd be it but I do like a few others more as better e/w value.
ELETTARIA has best form at 7 furlongs but visually looks ready for a mile finishing late and strongly over 7 and an extended 7 furlongs. I believe there is a win in this horse and 1 mile could bring it. HASHTAGNOTIONS could be ready now after a prep run back after a wind operation and plenty of form last summer suggests this is a good mark. If either pulled out then MR HEINZ although exposed does have proven form at the trip, Course form and I'll be surprised if he is not in the first 4 home here (North)

Windsor 8.15 - Class 6 - 1 mile - 13 run - Good to Firm
This looks the less deep race of the threesome.
Freedom Bay can win a race when settling and that is something that can be said about a few of these.
RIVAL and WESTON COURT were 1-2 in this race last year, neither arrive in great form but then again, you could have said the same last year, both were "put away" after running here last year after just a few more runs and it strikes me this is "the time of year" that both strike form. The same could be said about Amatheus who is in the TRACKER but 4/1 is not the sort of price that entices me, but it would not be a surprise if they finished 1-2-3 in a poor race. (The Advisor)

TRACKERS
Condotti and Amatheus are the only TRACKERS and both mentioned above.
Back with more tomorrow and a bit of a write up for Barry Hills and Peter Easterby, who sadly passed away in the past week.
