DOWNPATRICK 5.30 - Handicap Hurdle - 2 miles 6 furlongs - 15 Run (Good) - dry forecast
At the head of the market is a TRACKER horse Warmer Days Ahead who makes its Course debut and is upped in trip, at the price I don't think he is sufficiently superior to fellow market leaders Cullenwaine, upped 6lbs , nor Stockdale , a Course and Distance winner, Course regular and one who could slip this field on this very undulating roller coaster of a track. My main niggle though is that Stockdale and Cullenwaine might "cut each other's throats" effectively setting it up for something else. I am inclined personally to have a crafty small T/CastPerm on those three though but 2 main each way bets elsewhere looking for market value.
Townhill Penny is a Course and Distance winner but that was 2 years ago and there have been some really frustrating runs since, the price attracts but the handicap mark is pretty static and although feared, a pair entices me more. Mrs Biddle has had one decent run that wasn't followed up and Georgia Celina who was badly hampered by SCOTTISH DANCER, but who was weakening last time over 3 miles here are dangers too.
SCOTTISH DANCER was in contention when falling 3 out here over 3 miles last time and if getting around this time looks well handicapped and this slightly shorter trip should be ideal. I'll be disappointed if it's not placed at least here. At bigger Odds we have NOMADIC STAR who gets the trip, likes the Going, runs off a nice mark and has a number of decent Course and Distance runs. He looks primed to me to really run a bit race here at an early 20/1 plus with some enhanced places (MG).
