Hamilton 5.17 - Handicap - Class 6 - 1 mile 4 furlongs - 14 run - Good to Soft
Of the top 3 in the betting ARCH LEGEND who was a runner up last time at Beverley looks a far stronger "win only" bet at 5/2 than does the value of backing Alghear who may be best over further and Crystal Guard, whose e/w value looks skinny at 6/1 ish.
I would suggest a WIN bet on ARCH LEGEND.
My main each way interest though lies with LADY PHOEBE whose best run last season was to place over Course and Distance on soft ground off a mark of 50 and who runs off a mark of 46 here and SASSY GLORY, who we tipped and TRACKED in the race ARCH LEGEND ran in last week. SASSY GLORY ran best over this 12 furlong trip at Thirsk last season and looks well worth another poke here off a mark of 46.
The other one I will note and TRACK forwards is Fangaini Linn at a bigger price who has dropped a good 10lbs in the handicap from last season and had a wind operation. The sort to find a level it can be competitive off quite soon (Northern)
