Newton Abbot 4.35 - Handicap Chase - Class 5 - 3 miles 2 furlongs - 10 run - Good (rain)
The Going here is likely to deteriorate, possibly Good to Soft and that is a key to the selection.
WILLIAM EWART is on anice handicap mark, race fit, due a win and the rain only enhances its chances here.
With 10 runners and odds to 3rd place only he is the each way value in the race (DT)
-------
Bellewstown 5.15 Handicap - 1 Mile - Good - 15 run
A pretty tight end at the top of the market and not too much at bigger odds to really enthuse over.
I think that EASTERN WIND is ideally suited to conditions here and gets potentially a nice draw and I can't find any excuses why it won't place at the very least, and I'll be disappointed if it doesn't win.
BREEZY ZOFF gets a high draw and that is my only niggle but looks to be coming to hand and although not a prolific winner, one you can normally rely on to run its race (MG)
-------
Beverley 8.20 Handicap - Class 6 - 7 1/2 Furlongs - Division 1 - 10 run - Good to Firm
Clotherhome and the less exposed Sold The Dream are solid looking types at the top end of the market.
KING SHARJA although more exposed and seemingly out of sorts so far this season has dropped to a nice competitive mark as a result and a nice Draw here should see a much improved run. The opening handicap mark was always going to be tough but recent run has suggested 57 is a mark it can begin to get competitive from. (TA)
