BANGOR ON DEE 2.20 3 What Happens Now - 1/4 point each way @ 7/1 - won under a brilliant ride from Derek O'Connor for us last October at Cheltenham at around 8/1 and has had to nudge back to a similar handicap mark again. I think it may need the run but has run fine off similar 90 day breaks before and looking deeply in to the race, I can find very little other than this one to trouble the clear favourite. I'm sure McCain and Hughes will ride the horse to the best of its merits and a place looks the least of its chances. I do own via Ian Williams Racing Club a few hairs of Rockandrollrambo - it has had a series of niggles, been kept well away (like most of the Yards NH horses) from the grass Gallops until we had recent rain, and will definitely need the run. It remains a nice prospect and hopefully gets round, safe and sound and comes out of the box OK in the morning!

THIRSK 4.15 2 Tadaawol  1/4 point each way @ 20/1 - all Bookies odds to 4th - a deep and competitive Handicap Class 4 over 7 Furlongs. Very tough race to fathom but this one is drawn in Stall 5 which should be ideal. Has proven stamina at a mile so a full on end to end gallop, which it has not always had recently should be a benefit. It is versatile Going wise and conflicting reports about the Going here and may be a bit softer than Good as advertised. It is on a nice handicap mark and I'm a bit intrigued why they have not put a Claimer up. Jason Hart has very few rides for the Yard, the 3 I can find have not delivered much, but it's a bit different and you have to ask yourself why?. If they want to hide the horse and get the mark down a bit more; surely stick a 7lbs Claimer up and do that....with odds to 4th, I just think worth a small investment.
