Nottingham 4.40 Handicap - Class 6 - 1 mile 2 furlongs - 12 run - Good

Emerald City from a top yard is the obvious favourite on a static mark so by no means bomb proof. Fougere seems to have regressed of late and Star Start who can win races and who may be a nice acquisition for Ruth Carr may just welcome a bit more cut than this likely rapidly firming ground.

My clear 1-2-3 in Ratings are LOST IN TIME who drops in trip and with a field of milers who may go off a shade too quickly that stamina will be an asset down the long straight here, DARING LEADER ran a career best last time and drying ground would seem ideal for this one. If there is a non runner there then clear third rated was ALJADEL for Richard Hughes who is an improving 3 year old who looks to be getting the hang of things and this step up to 10 furlongs looks a sensible move (TA)

KIllarney 4.50 Handicap Chase -2 miles 7 furlongs - 15 run - Good to Yielding

Kilashee is the one to beat but opposable on balance, Definitedare is a Course and Distance winner who may need some rain but who will be an obvious danger. Glenmalure Lodge is very consistent over hurdles and fences but likely to need this off a 6 month break. Electric Dreamer is in the Tracker and ran well until falling last time and one i think will be winning soon but not today. Rudy Catrail can never be discounted but off for 234 days is sure to come on for this return run.

I narrowed it down to 4 solid each way options, Land Jet was 4th rated and has shown enough promise to suggest a win isn't too far away, LADY KATE would be reserve or 3rd pick if you want to play 3 selections to enhanced places with 15 runners. Tis one runs prominently and has distance winning form and looks a very solid enhanced place proposition at nice e/w odds.

My top 2 rated are MEEHALL who is in the Tracker too already and who really ticks all the boxes here, Course form, Distance form, Going fine , nice handicap mark. HARD TARGET has shown plenty of promise and like a few of these a win looks near and I'm confident of a very bold run today. (MG)

Down Royal 7.27 - Handicap - 1 mile 5 furlongs - 14 run - Good to Firm

A lot in here with decent claims. Jabbar is the one to beat but at 2/1 I want to try to oppose it. Whatcouldhavebeen may need the run and would definitely welcome the rain that may come too late, Not Just Any Eagle is upped in trip but this Course is a real stamina test. Calmafterthestorm was a Course and Distance winner on penultimate run, didn't like Killarney as we predicted when running there 2 days ago and a danger back here if returning so quickly. I have added Beautiful Chaos to the TRACKER, it would definitely be a tip here but for a break of 262 days and past evidence suggests it will need a run or two.

My top 2 rated are VIDISHA a French import for Johnny Murtagh, two quiet runs so far over 2 miles and 14 furlongs, it has won in France at 13 furlongs and on Good ground and the mark is coming to a nice level. EVENINGS EMPIRE has had a run and will strip fitter, it ran well in placing here last season and the addition of a tongue tie suggests they are looking for the win.

One other one to note for an enhanced place if you want the 3rd pick and clear 3rd rated in analysis at very nice odds is WILD SHOT who we tipped when a non runner 2 days ago, back with John McConnell and off a VERY dangerous mark.
