Chester 3.50 Handicap - Class 5 - 2 miles - 12 run - Heavy
There aren't too many in here with form at the trip and in this sort of ground and although this is an easy 2 miles the nature of the turns means that you still need a degree of stamina to get the trip in the mud.
I am only really keen on 2 of them and of them Trojan Sun, although a winner over 18 furlongs at Musselburgh last time has no proven form in soft whereas DEREHAM is proven at the trip and is fine on Soft Going and at an early 14-16/1 is well worth an each way punt. (RJ)

Ballinrobe 6.15 - Handicap Chase - 2 miles 7 and 1/2 furlongs - 16 run - Good
Joes Turn is as low as 11/8 on the back of a win last time out but gets a 10lbs penalty and with him and the runner up that day well clear and the runner up on very favourable terms, we'll come back to that race shortly. My Friend The Wind is a standing dish here over Hurdles, runs off a lower Chase mark but is only very occasionally seen over fences and on balance is I think vulnerable in this sphere. Tuff Days has an engine and gets the trip, so far the main issue is that too often the fences get in the way, it'll click one day and he's feared for that reason. Thehairyfella is unreliable but is an Elliott trained horse so anything can and may happen.
I'm adding Agirlcalledchloe (who needs it softer and will be winning races soon) and Likeable Chancer (who is crying out for a return to Hurdles and will be one we'll certainly follow when he is) to the TRACKER.
Already in the TRACKER and my top 2 rated purely on form here are KADY'S DIRHA who chased home the hot favourite here (Joes Turn) last time, gets a nice pull at the weights and is a very nice each way price and has justified being tracked with runner up efforts the last twice. ARDAGHS CHOICE has a solid profile too and also deserves a win and very strong off marks of 91-92 and 6lbs last winning mark. You feel the chance to win is very close with both of these and just hope the recent strong runs are repeated. My third top clear rated is BEARWITHMENOW who would have very strong claims if repeating its penultimate run and cannot be overlook for enhanced places here.
There are a couple I've dabbled with before and at VERY big each way prices are well worth that small side shrapnel bet - FR GILLIGANSVOYAGE @ 66/1 was placing and running well a year ago, not fired recently but at 50/1 or more is increasingly well handicapped and old FATHER JED @ 33/1 really is on a very appealing mark, getting in to "last chance" category as a 13 year old but I still feel there is a very big run in this one somewhere!
