York 5.35
By National Hunt UK (Robin T)
ROBIN - York 5.35 Handicap - Class 4 - 7 furlongs - 20 run - Going Good (see above)
The market seems to fancy those drawn low.
Llamarty Dreams, drawn 4, Yaifer drawn 2, Astral Beau drawn 3 and Guess darn in stall 5 head the early markets. I'm not sure that Llamarty Dreams, Yaifer and Astral Beau are now well handicapped and I'm not totally convinced about the trip for Guess, I'm happy to take them on and hope that the Draw bias is elsewhere or better still negligible.
I'd give QUEENS SARGEANT a sporting chance of outrunning odds of 33-50/1 if it rains as its below a win mark in those conditions.
The pair that stood out for me , with many having Going and stamina question marks are RUSSCO and GLOBAL SPIRIT.
RUSSCO can certainly blaze a trail from Stall 12, it likes some cut in the ground, my niggle is that it's may be better at 6 furlongs but it does see out the 7 furlongs. It could make a bold and successful bid.
If it does set the race up for a closer then I really like GLOBAL SPIRIT , it gets a nice berth around the fancy-dans in Stall 6 and if that's the place to be looks over-priced. It's got Course and Distance winning form, is down to an eye catching mark of 79 and has solid each way claims especially if the word "soft" enters the Going equation.
