Yarmouth 3.45

By National Hunt UK (Robin T)

Robin - Yarmouth 3.45 Handicap - Class 5 - 1 mile - 12 run - Good to Firm (rain)

I considered the Class 2 race that follows this but it looks fiendishly deep and difficult and I do like finding something on this tough 1 mile straight Course with a bit of stamina and value.

At the top end of the market there are 4 very strong contenders who could dominate this but they all have a few questions to answer, Abravaggio is on a hat trick but upped another 5lbs, Anglo Saxson is up from Class 6 and another with a penalty, Dion Baker has form figures of 2-2-1 here but i just feel a truly run 1 mile stretches it. The step up in trip for Renesmee is entirely logical and I rate it the biggest danger to the two main selections.

At the high price end one to note, and in the Tracker is George Moreland, enigmatic sums him up but he knows how to win races and the drop in trip from 10 furlongs suggests a truly run race may really suit him. I would suggest a small shrapnel bet for those who fancy a longer priced one.

I think though that both DAGMAR RUN who steps up to a mile and who on visual evidence has been crying out for it and DECIPHER whose handicap debut can be ignored after trouble exiting the Stalls are both unexposed types of whom we have yet to see their full potential. I will be disappointed if both aren't in the first 4 home here with luck in running at nice prices.
