Worcester 5.05

ROBIN - Worcester 5.05 - Class 5 - 2 miles 7 furlongs - 18 run - Good to Firm
A very competitive looking race that may throw up a fair few to follow in the coming weeks.
We flagged up Gold Leader when it was runner up here on penultimate run when runner up, it then went on to rout a field at Uttoxeter by 19 lengths and gets a 9lbs penalty for that. It's prominent running style suits this track and it's the one they all have to beat. I would not put anyone off a win saver but the race is stacked with well handicapped promising and solid types.
Lake Shore Drive is very consistent, changed Yards to Laura Morgan who has a reputation for finding improvement in horses and it really does have every chance here. Bird on the Wire is another who rarely runs a poor race for the McCain yard, my only real niggle would be if the ground is riding Good to Firm, it may just need a bit of cut and possibly lacks a gear change at the business end. Tara Niece has run 2 promising races for Emma Lavcelle off a 2 year break, it's upped in trip and is another who should be winning races soon.
Lord Condi has wins off marks off 100 and 106, runs off 97 here and is being backed and at bigger Odds both Eightytwo Team and Montys Award are well capable of winning races. I suggest that you TRACK Eightytwo Team who had a heavy fall when leading last time and may just need this confidence booster and Montys Aware too looks to be slowly coming to hand and has Course winning form and form at the trip too.
Plenty were really closely looked at as you can see but in terms of confidence and value the final three are-:
PRESENTING YEATS is eased a little in Class, its won off marks of 84, 87 and 90, runs off 93 here and looks a very solid contender and I'll be very disappointed if not in the first 3-4 home. NOVUS ADITUS has a win over shorter off a mark of 93, it ran on very well up the hill to place at Exeter over this trip and this easier Course should therefore hold no stamina concerns, it's had 81 days off but I don't see that a a negative and it will be fresh and ready to run. PRESENT STORM is an ex 3 mile P2P winner. the current odds look over-priced with Brian Hughes up for the Longsdon Team, it's had a couple of Chase runs after not too many over hurdles and it could still have plenty of scope off this Hurdle mark.
TIP - Presenting Yeates / Tracker - Novus Aditus - shrapnel - Present Storm (if any of these are n/r reserve is Bird On The Wire)
