Worcester 4.40

By National Hunt UK (Robin T)

ROBIN - Worcester 4.40 Handicap Chase - Class 5 - 2 miles 7 furlongs - 12 Run - Good

There are a few in here at big odds who have glimmers of form.

Dunbar is upped markedly in trip based on UK form but did win a 3 mile Irish P2P. Corranay won a Class 4 Chase at Huntingdon when with Nicky Henderson off a mark of 125 last March, has been very poor so far for Richard Phillips but off a mark of 98 could revive. Cape Robin and Almost Gold are well worth TRACKING over next few months, Cape Robin has a Course win over 2 and a half miles off a mark of 102, pulled up last twice and has had a wind op and probably needs watching today, Almost Gold from the Ian Williams yardran well off a 584 day break before possibly "bouncing" next time but is coming in to nice handicap mark territory and should improve with races.

Abaya Du Mathan has to find the right trip and I'm not sure this is it, Bagan is a Course and Distance Hurdle winner but hasn't ever looked as good over fences and like Racing Spirit, who makes a Chasing debut on its 37th start is probably best watched too. Cresswell Queen is 9lbs above its last win mark and that looks too much of a burden and Dynali doesn't excite me in the slightest at the price as it is moderate over Hurdles and was beaten 25 lengths on Chase debut.

That leaves me with 3 horses, Judge Earle is a 3 time recent winner off marks of 82, 89 and 92 and now up to 99, it's 2/1 (ish) and from the Bowen yard, my view is you back it and it'll lose , you don't and it wins, it's that Yard to a tee....I'll take it on but include it in a small T/Cast perm just to cover it off.

I really like the chances of KABRIT for Alastair Ralph and Nick Schofield, Its had Chase wins in this Class off marks of 100 and 105, upped to Class 3 and 4 and not disgraced, its back in Class 5 off a mark of 105 and looks a very solid contender to me. PRESENT CHIEF for Jonjo and JOnjo Junior hasn't really fired since being placed here last September but has come down to a nice mark and strikes me as one ready to take a step forwards.
