Thirsk 5.10

At the top of the market is Lechro who bolted in winning a Selling Handicap last time, it negates part of the penalty but at 5/2 I do think it's vulnerable to a few who are used to better quality races than the race Lechro won. Prince Achille is very solid at this level but at 3/1 is not a great win bet option. Angel On High was runner up last time, is undoubtedly on a good mark, but that's been the case a number of times since it last won a race in 2020. Ghostly won on the AW last time but that may be its best surface. At big odds I did have a long hard look at Skedaddled, a Tracker horse, and I wouldn't put anyone off a small e/w bet as it has run well over Course and Distance before and 25/1 looks over-priced.
My clear top 3 rated are JENNIE WREN a Course and Distance runner up last Autumn off a mark of 50 and an AW winner, its been off for 104 days but has won before off a 90 day break and the Yard come a fair way from Rugeley when they could have had a fitness run at Wolverhampton if the horse wasn't ready to roll. JAMIH is very closely rated on my analysis and is another with Course and Distance form, winning off 54 and placing off the same mark here last year, looks to be running in to form so a mark of 55 gives it every chance. At bigger odds for some shrapnel I just fancied MILLTOWN LILY over Skedaddled as she is one of the few at bigger odds who is a guaranteed stayer at the trip and looks nicely priced to pick up an enhanced place.
