ROBIN - Uttoxeter 3.00 Summer Cup - Handicap Chase - Class 1 = 3 miles 2 furlongs - 17 run Good to Soft
I think it'll be some ideal jumping ground for the Spring and Autumn types but not the Firm side of Good that some of the Summer Jumpers may need.
The elephant in the room is a Bowen runner in a Summer long Distance chase with Course form and favourite. The only way to play that Yard I think is to have a small e/w saver at odds of around 5/1 as the set up is just so unpredictable.
At the top end of the market I can't find many I'd be really confident about for various reasons.
Gats And co has gone 1-1-1-1 from 92 to 117 and now 125 and I just can't see it winning this race to be honest despite that form. I think it' been very well placed and managed and will hit a ceiling here. Nevilles Cross is up 6lbs for a Kempton win, one I see as a bigger danger but pretty unexposed and not jumping off the page at me. Kidisart is very lightly raced in recent seasons, is undoubtedly on a Good mark and on best form deserves to be fancied, but we haven't really seen any substantial form since March 2020 and for that reason I'm happy to oppose.
Sizing Cusimono has found some long suggested form for the Tizzards, it has Course wins in lesser races off 110 and 115 it won last time in a small race at Newton Abbot off 122 but i really do think a 10lbs penalty for that is very excessive and not for me on that basis. Streets Of Doyen is a typically dangerous Irish type but doubts about ability and trip for me. Destrier for the Skeltons who are always dangerous here is upped markedly in trip, if you want a small bet due to the "Skelton factor" I wouldn't put you off but I can't find anything in watching race replays to suggest the horse is crying out for 26 furlongs. Jerrysback WILL be a danger, it found a comfort level finally last time of 125, perhaps unfair to immediately put it back up to 132, I can see if placing at best here but had at least 3 others ahead in my analysis.Sirobbie LOVES this course is as brave and bold as they come but is basically a Novice over Fences, if this was a Hurdle race I'd be lumping on but on this occasion I just hope he gest round, has some fun and can be back winning here for us over hurdles later in the Autumn.
I'm quietly confident about 3 at good prices though.
ROMAIN DE SENAM for the Pipes gets a 2lb pull with FRANCKY DE BERLAIS for a narrow defeat back in April over Course and Distance and has been kept busy since then whilst FDB has had a break. At the price differential the handicap which suggests they should be upsides is just too good to ignore and provided RDS is not over-cooked it looks a stonking each way bet.
COURT MASTER palpably fails to get 4 miles but runs prominently to well beyond this trip and is very competent at just less than 3 miles. All of the form analysis and visual evidence suggests that this intermediate trip should be ideal and I think it can bowl along and know its not too far a trip for it, I will be disappointed if its not bang in contention two flights from home to be honest, IRISH PROPHECY too is over-priced i think, it gets the trip, needed a run 2 months back, and has enough form to suggest it can outrun the Odds and chase a place!
TIP - ROMAIN DE SENAM / Tracker - Court Master / shrapnel - Irish Prophecy (e/w small saver on Francky Du Berlais at 5/1 or bigger)

ROBIN - Cartmel 4.30 Handicap Hurdle - Class 4 - 2 miles 6 furlongs - 12 Run - Good to Soft - Heavy rain possible
I'm going to go with a couple of relative mud-larks here.
Jelski won by 25 lengths here last time with Charlotte Jones not for the first time showing tactical brilliance round this unique track. However, it gets an 11lbs penalty and likes Native Fighter and Liffeydale Dream who both also have excellent Course and Distance winning form , won't appreciate any significant easing of the ground with penalties for recent good form.
Hungry Tiger is a solid performer but just looks too high in the weights as a result of honest performances, Building Bridges has won on soft and at the trip at Downpatrick but I'm not sure of a mark of 113 here , Noel Kelly runs a few and you'd fear there may be a "dark one" in there somewhere.
The pair that jumped off the page though if it turns soft but also good enough if it's just Good to Soft are CASH AGAIN who is on a nice mark, prefers soft and although best at a bit shorter should get this trip round here and BELLANEY GEM who has Course form , fine in soft and heavy going in Ireland and who has been a runner up at this trip at Kelso and placed in a 3 miles P2P race to suggest stamina won't be an excuse.
