ROBIN - Sandown 1.50 Novice Handicap Hurdle Final - Class 1 - 2 miles 4 furlongs - 17 run - Soft

 

It's likely to be dead and sticky drying ground here so a test of stamina and the big field should ensure a decent pace.

 

The aforementioned Ben Pauling has 3 runners here, PIC ROC, CHAMPAGNE TWIST and Awaythelad. 

 

Roger Pol looks a solid contender on form and Fire Flyer is also a big danger for the Nicholls yard. Dartmoor Pirate (up in trip) was carefully considered as was the well backed favourite Hasting.

 

I strongly fancy both PIC ROC and CHAMPAGNE TWIST on known form and progressive profiles but think there is a real dark horse from the North in TARAS HALLS who has good collateral form and a handy weight pull from a promising run at Doncaster. If there is one at big odds who is most likely to run in to an enhanced place then have a  close look at TEDLEY who is well worth a shrapnel punt.
