Market Rasen 2.10

Market Rasen 2.10 Handicap Hurdle Class 4

A race where Course and Distance winner BLUE HUSSAR who was very impressive last time looks the one they all have to beat and I have no qualms in having a "win saver" bet on that one.

Landofsmiles could be on a nice mark but for a horse who has found winning difficult, indeed impossible, the price looks very skinny to me. One who is very well handicapped, despite top weight, dropped in Class and certainly at its best on flat and easy right handed tracks is MUTHABIR. The Going has come right too for this one and it last won in a Class 3 at Ludlow around a year ago off a mark of 115, gets in here off a mark of 117 with a handy 3 lbs claim, is fit but fresher than most and I think will outrun Odds that loo over-generous.

TIP - MUTHABIR - 1 point each way  (1 point win saver on Blue Hussar)

In the Long Distance Hurdle at Sedgefield at 4.05 we have the likes of Strike West / Simply Lucky and Letemgo, horses who have more than paid their way for us over the past few seasons but all of whom now look regressive beyond the point of being safe or sensible betting propositions. Whilst that verdict may be the trigger for them to come 1-2-3 today, all have passed the "last chance saloon" for now and we will watch and wait for a glimmer from any of them.

In a competitive race I am drawn to LAMMTURNER who has to prove a very poor run last time was a fluke, (the jockey reported the horse simply never got in to a rhythm) but as a Course and Distance winner off a nice mark could be a nice bet if that last race was a one off. However, the one I like most here is KILCREA BRIDGE who has proven stamina and runs off a nice mark and in a very competitive low grade long distance race, well worth a Tracker bet.

TRACKER - KIlcrea Bridge - 1/2 point each way @ 11/2 (MOST BOOKIES ODDS TO 4TH)
